Dry ice blasting is a less aggressive blast media commonly used to gently clean surfaces without removing the substrate. Solid CO2 (dry ice) is run through a dedicated machine that crushes it and delivers it under air pressure to a blast nozzle. The CO2 explodes upon impact, falls to the floor, and converts to a gas, leaving minor cleanup.
