Slag coagulant is used to help remove contaminants from molten metal right before pouring. We carry three sizes of perlite slag coagulant, fine, medium and course. Slag coagulants can be used in ferrous and nonferrous applications. Our perlite slag coagulants do an excellent job of attracting slag, dirt, and nonmetallic particles trapped in the metal during melting. The slag and impurities float to the top and coagulate on the surface to simplify removable before pouring.
